That’s interesting; why would you ask that?
That’s interesting; why would you say that?, and
That’s interesting: why would you do that?
With these four phrases, you should be able to respond rather than react to just about anything. Remember, getting out of the reaction mode and into the response mode is step one in developing your communication skills.
